Sound Chemistry Record's Living Arts Apprenticeship Program (LAAP) is in full swing now.
The next 10 days leading up to our 2 day recording session is going something like this...

Amir Ziv is working with our 6 apprentices as I write on polyrhythmic percussion techniques.
Later in the day I will be working with the group on compositional and orchestrational approaches.
Throughout the day they study Aikedo with the Master Gadi Shor.
We are cooking together and the young lads are all camping on the land.

After months of day after day in the theatre doing my part to bring FELA! to the stage and touring with Antibalas and the Sway Machinery, I will be in NYC presenting more works more regularly, so please check the calendar here so we can see one another in person sooner than later!

I am so focused on our workshop with Bill T Jones and searching for a home for the fall, I have fallen behind on posting all of my performances.

As of now, September 4th at Zebulon for the PMT is all you need to know as far as where and when for me.

Oh, and I will be conducting a piece on the 30th of September, which I will post lots of details on soon.

My last trip over seas this year has found me in the UK for a set at WOMAD, the largest "world music" festival of the year, and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for a little hang with the lady.
Steph and I collaborated on the music for her show, "Bomber's Row", and I provided musical assistance for another NYC-spun show, "Spawn And Die", so this is a fine way to wrap up the touring year.
See you in New York!

I will miss NY so much, I cannot even say. I will however return in July for good, so take care the place for me!
